Commissioning That Proves Your Power System Is Ready.
Commissioning confirms that a generator system is ready for operation. GMA PowerTech verifies mechanical readiness, electrical integrity, controller configuration, alarms, protection functions, load behavior, ATS operation, and handover documentation. The goal is to prove that the system starts correctly, carries the required load, transfers safely, protects itself, and can be operated by the client with confidence.
Schedule CommissioningCommissioning Checklist Scope
Commissioning is a disciplined verification process before operational handover. Clients need proof that a generator starts, accepts load, transfers power safely, protects itself, communicates alarms, and can support the intended electrical load.
Mechanical readiness
Engine oil, coolant, fuel, belts, hoses, radiator, air intake, exhaust, mounts, leaks, fan guards, safety covers, access clearance.
Electrical readiness
Insulation resistance, cable terminations, phase sequence, neutral/earth arrangement, breaker condition, terminal torque, control wiring.
Starting system
Battery voltage, charger output, starter response, cranking speed, DC wiring, emergency stop, start/stop command.
Controller and alarms
Controller configuration, date/time, run hours, sensor inputs, alarms, shutdowns, warnings, remote contacts, display readings.
No-load test
Voltage, frequency, oil pressure, coolant temperature, charging voltage, vibration, noise, leaks, smoke, exhaust temperature indicators if available.
Load test
Load acceptance, kW/kVA, current balance, voltage stability, frequency stability, power factor, temperature behavior, alarms under load.
ATS / AMF test
Utility failure simulation, generator start delay, transfer time, return delay, cool-down, manual/auto modes, indication lamps, interlocks.
Protection tests
Low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, overspeed, emergency stop, over/under voltage, over/under frequency, overload, earth fault where applicable.
